Sunrise on Palawan

Looking east across the Sulu Sea. You can see Harina Island, a sea turtle sanctuary a few miles out. It's a tiny coral island, without water. Until recently it had a single caretaker, Mr Sabado, who along with his dogs guarded the turtles and their eggs. He would tap the living palm trees and extract a naturally fermented liquor. He would spear fish offshore, and lived a idyllic existence in a native house. I originally put up more pictures, but Yahoo was limiting access because of bandwidth issues. I'll have to look at other options to host images and video.
