Chinese Police Clear Thousands Of Pro-Democracy Protesters

We're seeing the collapse of Democracy in Hong Kong, and nary a peep from the Live Journal left.

Pie Season

I just harvested beans, eggplant, tomatoes and Butternut squash. Right after I finished, we got a bit more rain. Two squash that had a little bug damage are being made into pie filling right away. The perfect squash will store all winter without any processing. That's the reason they're known as "winter squash".

The Brandywine tomatoes are essentially done, but I'm still harvesting Roma tomatoes. That's the opposite of the normal pattern. Go figure.
