Palaeoanthropology update
I'm reading more about the the pygmy version of Homo erectus that apparantly lived on the remote Indonesian Island of Flores as recently as 13,000 years ago. This species of human was previously thought to have become extinct about 200,000 years ago. They were about the size of modern pre-school children, and hunted pygmy elephants and huge 9 foot-long carnivorous lizards.
The people that live on this island have folktales about hairy half-size people with flat foreheads.
