?????

The ABC network news did a story tonight on how a large number of Americans in their 50's don't have enough to eat. The couple that they highlighted were morbidly obese, each seemingly 75 to 100 lbs overweight. Their refrigerator seemed full of food, but the wife offered that things were so terrible that she didn't want to get up in the morning.
Somedays they didn't have enough milk for their cereal.

This obesity/scarcity conundrum is really an odd one but basically it's that people living in poverty seem to exist on a diet of hugely caloric, high corn syrup/fructose, low nutrient, relatively low cost foods.
