More Pit Bull Violence
The dogs fought with a stray pit bull, while they were off leash out in the boonies. I didn't see the beginning of the fight, but Halo and Pogi fought as a team and chased it away. Pogi ended up with an ugly gash on his rear leg. It's oozing blood, but it doesn't seem deep. He let me clean it with some antiseptic wipes, and he's walking and running normally. I'll watch him to make sure he's OK.
Pogi is OK, even though I noticed additional punture wounds on his face, and that fucking dog is still lurking around, even though it scuttled away from us this morning. I tried to contact animal control but just got the run-around. The underlying reality is that county is broke, and doesn't want to take care of things like this. When ten of these dogs form a pack, and kill 200 goats, and becomes national news, then they act.
