Mechanical Update

I fixed my thermostat. The battery holder had corroded to the point where it wasn't holding the batteries tightly, and they weren't making good connections. I cleaned up the corrosion and shimmed the contacts and it operates the furnace again!

What's even better is that I stripped a replacement battery holder out of an old radio, and could fit it to the thermostat if need be.

I definitely saved some time and money by not needing to replace the old thermostat.
