False News Stories
The media is spinning the local cable vandalism to read as some nefarious conspiracy to disrupt telecommunications, when it is actually local meth-heads tearing up lines, looking for copper.
One newspaper had the nerve to print: "There is no evidence of metal theft", but that's because there is no metal to steal. The media, I'm sure, sensationalizes and misreports stories like this all the time, doing a great disservice to the public.
