Farm Report August 23

I'm getting my harvest under control. This morning, I picked just the ripest tomatoes for a big pot of spaghetti sauce. In a day or so, I'll pick a large batch for canning. It looks like I'll have to freeze dry most of the squash, so as to fit it in the freezer. Dried squash takes 1/4 the volume, and I'm running out of freezer space.

We're still having moderate weather, at the most into the mid-90's, and my watering has slowed to once every four days.
