Popeye The Cat Has An Infected Eye

If I had a responsive vet, I would take him in. When I call my vet, there are no appointments available. I'm giving him about 80 mg of Amoxcylin once a day. I also clean the oozing from his closed eye.

I can only count on seeing Popeye once a day. He's eating pretty well, and is outdoors most of the time.

I have to admit that I've been shocked over the past five or so years at the utter unavailability of veterinarians!!! I'm not understanding what's happening to that career field. When the Pom got a foxtail in his ear and was so so so miserable, no one would help. Not even the emergency vet!!! I had to wait over two weeks for them to "fit him in"! I was flabbergasted. What era are we living in when we are doing our own animal care at home?
