I need a steam shovel, mama, to keep away the dead.
I'm seeing so many of those roadside shrines to the dead. I guess the custom has come from Mexico, but it strikes me as morbid. Years ago, they were a curiosity, but now flowers and pictures and balloons are sprouting up on the roadsides everywhere. I drive through an immense graveyard everyday, to and from work. One in particular bothers me. It's on the southbound side of 101, near the Lawrence Expressway, in Sunnyvale. I guess a motorcyclist bought it there, and his fucking HELMET is on an orange cone, surrounded by withered flowers and plants, with tattered pictures.
was the helmet dented?
and of course people steal flowers from cemetaries all the time.either to move to a differnt grave or to give to the girlfriend.
i bet the most cemetary flower robberies happen on valentines day.
