Finally, an update.
I've had a lot of interesting experiences in the last few months, but I've also had some sort of block that makes it difficult to post. I hope you all will forgive me.
I relented and spent Christmas and New Years in the western Philippines. Had a great time in the rich tropical lushness, and went diving, and later managed to rent a little motorcycle to explore the island. I almost ran over a little puppy, (the big dogs know to stay away from traffic) and saw a chicken in the road pecking away at a dead cobra. The best rum is only $4 a bottle.
The plane flight to Manila was endless. We had a scheduled stop in Honolulu, but a medical emergency forced us down in Guam. The plane was cold, but once we arrived everything was great.
For the last month, I've been working non-stop, but my vacation recharged me and helps me manage this gloomy winter.
