A world of steel-eyed death an' men who are fightin' to be warm

It's a bright, sunny but cold morning. It got into the low 30's last night and I finally turned on the heat at home. In California terms, this is real weather. Right now I'm at work and I have the propane heater going at full blast (80,000 BTU's) with fans stategically postioned to blow hot air in the proper direction. It seems to be working and it looks like I'll survive another winter.

I was born in Northern Michigan, but I've lost my Nordic conditioning. My girlfriend has been recently going back and forth to the Philippines, and wants me to go there for Christmas, and I'm tempted, but I can't get away.
