Yes, that's all it is. It's the date and time that correspond to the famous mathematical constant. You celebrate it with a piece of pie.

March 14 at 1:59 p.m. is the same number. There was a bit on the SNL newscast: "So March 14 was Pi day, so...man, was I hung over today..."

I bet you got it and thought "was there...more to it than that..?"
