The Three Sisters

Tuxedo cat is in this picture, but the angle makes her appear totally black. She is missing part of her left ear. Notice how much larger Orange cat is than her sisters. She's also the dominant cat, but strangely, defers to old Cali.

Could old Cali be their mother?

The kitty with the missing part of her ear was it due to being spayed? A lot of shelters knick an ear to show that they were spayed.

It's possible, but she was only about 6 months old when she showed up. Tuxedo cat was with Orange cat, and about a month later Tabby cat arrived. I'm going to take all 3 sisters to the spay clinic very soon, so we'll find out. None have ever had kittens.

Shelters will spay as early as 8 weeks old, they clip the ear to identify, only other way to know if they are not altered is to ultrasound. Thank you for taking good care of those kitties, there should be more kind people in this world like you.

I enjoy the cats, and they have become very tame towards me, which I did not expect.
