The animals and garden survived the heat, but on our evening walk, the neighborhood felt heat blasted.

The cats disappear in the hot afternoon. They all go to a shaded spot and hunker down until dusk.

The dogs come inside with me.

Tomorrow will be a little cooler but Thursday should bring cooler weather with breezes from the west.

One hundred and seven degrees is hot. Hope you and the animals stay cool.

We're having record-breaking heat, but it will soon pass. My 16 tomato and 4 pepper plants are now in plastic cups, which I set out for a time in the mornings.

The tomatoes should be transplanted into the main garden bed within the week.
