Archaeological Find Of The Century

I'm fascinated by discovery that another, separate species of humans existing on some remote Indonesian islands as little as 13,000 years ago. They were tiny people with brains smaller than a chimpanzee's brain, but apparently they made stone tools, used fire, and were successful hunters.

They were not Homo sapiens sapiens, as we are classified, but perhaps were the last vestiges of a more primitive species.

I read another article a couple hours ago that said that some scientists think they might still be hiding in the jungles and caves! I hope they don't find them. It would be so sad to see the little pygmies all disected and locked up.

I'm sure they wouldn't be dissected or locked up, but it's doubtful that they still exist. One story I read speculated that they may have existed 500 years ago. They had big eyes and little heads, and we're probably not very bright. The real pygmies in Africa are quite interesting people, in their own right, even though they are the same species as everyone else.
