Life is sometimes like a poker game.
Nov. 4th, 2002 08:36 pmOne of my work neighbors is a small-scale car dealer. He's able to bid at to vehicle auctions that are closed to the public, and apparently there are now good used Ford box vans available at 10% of their original cost. I'm considering selling my Mitsubishi delivery truck and getting something larger and better. This guy owes me some serious favors, but is the slickest, most manipulative and greedy man I've ever met. He's a clever used car salesman. It will be interesting to see if he will take me to the auction and let me get one at cost. I'm working out my approach in my mind, and take it as a challenge. His impulse will be to fleece me, but I know what they cost, and simply want to buy one directly, under his license.
