Reading, Summer Cold, And Dogs.

I had to shit-can a science fiction novel that had an interesting premise, but started abruptly jumping back and forth in the narrative. It was hard to follow the story and I'm convinced that doing that is a stunt to mask a weak story.
I've been sick all this week, with probably a bad cold. I'm doing everything to try and take care of myself, but I supposed it has to just run it's course. Last night, I woke up at 2:30 am with chills, and started coughing, and never could get back to sleep.
Nobody seems to want this little dog. Pogi plays with her, but he seems to be too rough. She doesn't yelp, so he's not really hurting her. I'm careful to maintain the established pecking order, and give Pogi lots of attention and privileges, so he won't feet insecure and get angry with her. Halo ignores her, even when she eats his food.
