My electric forklift has been growing progressively weaker over the past few weeks, even though we've hooked it up to the charger. It's been a while since anyone added water, so I was worried that the battery had gone dry and been ruined. I don't even want to guess what the thousand pound replacement battery might cost. I checked the battery today and it only needed about a gallon of distilled water, but when I hooked it up to charge, funny, incomprehensible error messages were blinking from the charger's digital readout. I shut the charger off and on a few times and then disconnected and reconnected the battery a few times, and it seems like the charger has now reset itself and everything is working properly. We really depend on that forklift, and I'm extremely relieved that it's back in service.
