Thoughts On Christmas Songs

You can't avoid them, and for the most part, I don't mind them, except when some asshat "artist" feels the need to stylize the song almost past the point of recognition. A few times I was listening carefully enough to recognize some lyrics and realize that it's a Christmas song. The melody was changed and the singer was being totally indulgent.

One song that really grates on my nerves is Paul McCartney's insipid Wonderful Christmas Time
