I broke down and bought a $7 can of Yuban coffee, and like the flavor better than Starbucks. No more paying $2.55 for a cup of bitter iced coffee.

Country Setting, Partial View Of The Bay

Last week I made an offer on another REO house up in the Hayward hills. It's a ranch style house but not a rancho. On Friday, my agent told me someone else had really bid up the price, but as of today, the high bidder has flaked, so the bank is now looking at my offer. My agent called me, and I agreed to a certain bank stipulation, but I won't hear back until tomorrow.

My agent searched the history of the house, and the last owner was a real estate agent that bought it 5 years ago for almost twice what I have offered. I talked to the neighbors and they indicated that most of the house has been recently remodeled, and the roof and garage are fairly new. I'll definitely need the new carpet, and might try to reface the brick fireplace with stone.
