New Project
Dec. 9th, 2009 04:52 pmI just bought quite a large high temperature gas kiln and moved it into the shed in the side yard. It disassembles into 4 pieces, Initially, someone helped me load it, but when I got it home, I backed the truck across the yard, right to the shed door, and then used my maximum ooomph just to slowly lower the biggest part to the ground. My back kind of hurts right now. If it was any bigger, I couldn't have fit it through the door. So the kiln is safely tucked away, but the stand with the gas lines and burners is in the garage, for me to study. I need to connect it to the gas supply line.
Natural gas is much more economical than electricity to fire a big kiln, and for safety's sake, it's perfect to have a dedicated well-built 10' X 10' outbuilding with a cement floor to house it.
