Lots of rain today, and it's supposed to continue up until Christmas. I plan to give the dog his walks, regardless, and one trick of mine is to check the doppler radar on http://www.wunderground.com and look for a break between systems. Halo has no problem with cold, but it seems he doesn't like steady rain. This morning he didn't protest an abreviated walk when the rain picked up midway.

I lived in Portland, Oregon, for a little while, and the people there have good rain gear, and go out and do things in spite of the wet. I'll confess, though, that constant gloom gets me down. I'm not sure that I could handle the extreme weather that other parts are getting now.

One thing I might do during this rainy period, is to buy some mortar and build some brick edging around a flowerbed and around the lemon tree. I also want to build a quick wooden frame at the rear of the shed and extend the roof out 5 feet more. Now that the tree is cut down, I want the satellite photo to show that the shed structure is 150 square feet. I don't need to expand the shed itself right away, but I want the roof there, so it appears to be that big from the air.
