Garden Update December 27

The cold snap is over, but we have had 5 nights in a row of lows in the 20's. More of my nopales cactus has collapsed, probably due to the cold. My lettuce is gone and the broccoli is in suspended animation. The peas and onions are doing fine and three little garlic plants have sprouted. The fruit trees are fine, but of course I've been covering and sometimes even heating them. I need to spray the almond tree soon, and prune the roses and Japanese fringe trees.
