The doves living in the privit tree have grown very bold; walking around, singing "ea plé miesta", and pecking close to the dogs. They are so pleased that I'm shooting at the crows, who have a bad reputation for raiding nests.

I'm slowly eating the onions that were planted as sets (bulbs), except for the yellow onions which are going to seed. The yellow onions have big, spikey ball flowers that honey bees like. Most of my onions are red onions, started from seed, and soon, I'll dig them up to be my onions supply. I will be rich with red onions.

I'm overwhelmed with lettuce. I pick enough for one salad a day, but I've taken to pulling whole arrugala plants out to make room for the more refined lettuces. I'll start harvesting the spring broccoli tomorrow.
