I found this image in a story about a blind Muslim woman, who uses a similar horse in lieu of seeing-eye dog. Apparently they can be house trained. Notice the tennis shoes.

Halo was the first, and is a smart, dominant dog. He's also very well behaved. Pogi is the newer dog, and is wearing me out. I just finished painting and replacing some fence pickets, because when Pogi gets excited, he jumps on the fence. He's breaking old rotten pickets, but he keeps me on my toes in regard to fence maintainence. He's stopped actually jumping over the fence, and running away, so that's a good thing.

Right at sundown, I had to go out and bait and cover the gopher hole he had just found.
He always finds the fresh gopher tunnels, and it's good for me to know where to bait, but keeping up with it all is sometimes a bit much. I try to limit his digging in the front yard, because unchecked, he would model it after the surface of the moon.

He's made great progress in the last 10 months, and he's well liked, but having a scamp of a dog can test you.
