Adventures With Halo

We were out walking this morning, and the dogs were off-leash and a good distance ahead. Next to the railroad tracks was a big shapeless form, and Halo went over to investigate. I saw a fluttering when he got up to it, and my immediate impression is that something big was laying there dead, and the vultures were feeding on it.

As I got closer, I could see that it was human, and I steeled myself to something gruesome.

It turned out to be a homeless guy, sleeping next to the tracks. Halo had literally got in his face and woken him, and the fluttering was just his hand waving the dog off.

The guy seemed to be ok, and I talked to him for a minute, but he seemed to want to go back to sleep.
