Pineapple Express, People!
Dec. 1st, 2012 09:37 amWarm rainstorms, which we call the "Pineapple Express" have been blowing in from Hawaii. It's warm enough that I can go out in a t-shirt. We don't like getting wet, so I watch the rain cells on Weather Underground, and go out between them. My water tank is filling, and I think I'll add an additional 100 gallon barrel in February, to insure that the delicate avocado trees are well-watered in the dry season.
Halo is out on the dry part of the porch, guarding and staying cool, while Pogi is inside with me, eating pumpkin pie. They were really jazzed to see how the water is filling the canal. Both were scrambling wildly up and down the bank, as we walked in this grey, blustery morning.
