Warm Here, -50C In Russia

Terribly cold winter in Russia, but here in California, were having a very wet, but warm season. On one early morning the low was 31F for an hour, but the lows have generally been in the 40's. My trees have not yet dropped all their leaves, and the winter garden is doing phenomenally well. I now have to add a higher trellis for the peas to climb.
Pogi has been going off course during the morning walk, and I'm sure that he knows the rules, but he is being willful. I'll correct him, but this morning I also kept him on the leash. He watched Halo go off course, exactly towards the little woodland patch he wants to hunt in, but Halo came back when called. I hope it sinks in that he can be off leash only when he minds me.
