I mixed a double batch of slip, and then finished pruning the last tree. I won't attempt to reduce the height of the privet tree, because I don't have a safe way of getting way up there. Discretion is the better part of valor. I trimmed all the sides, and now have a monstrous pile of branches in the driveway.

I took some preliminary steps to tilling the south bed.

I also need to prune all the bushes while it's cold.

Halo had been herding Pogi out of the bedroom, and into the living room to sleep. I guess that Halo is asserting his status as top dog, but I made a bed for Pogi in the adjoining bathroom, about ten feet from my bed. Both seem satisfied with this setup, Halo gets the place of honor, the rug right next to my bed, but Pogi has a plush bed just a few feet farther out, where he can still see and hear us at night.
