Sunday, my I don't have to run day.
Jan. 27th, 2013 10:31 pmI'm slowly getting ready to till the south bed. Today, I pulled out the gopher cages buried in the ground to protect last season's crops.
There were in very deep and hard to get out of the ground. I also pulled out the drip lines and watered the plot to activate the Roundup I sprayed a few days ago. Next, I'll have to remove the dead bermuda grass and add compost and till. A couple of weeks in the soil will help the compost break down better. I'll probably transplant my little onions plants into the bed by the middle of February.
I'm also casting more figures. I released 5 from molds today, but lost one. It must be that one mold was wetter than the others, because I had terrible tearing of the clay, while the others came out perfectly. I'll probably always have weird anomalies, and an 80% success rate is pretty respectable.
