A Dog's World

Pogi loves to hunt, and caught a fat gopher this afternoon, off leash, during our walk. I didn't realize it until he came back to me early, with it in his mouth, obviously ready to head for home. Halo noticed the prize, and didn't react overtly, but he wanted that gopher. Pogi carried it all the way home, and was relieved as Halo and I went indoors. He then slowly and methodically ate the rodent on the front lawn. When Halo later went outside, he sniffed all over for traces off the gopher. It was vastly entertaining for both dogs, and interesting to see them carefully navigate through the whole event.
