Dead Pit Bull On The Road

We passed him on the morning walk, and it looks like he died quickly. It seems that pit bulls are the dog of choice among the dregs of local society. The most irresponsible people tend to have them, and they are often dumped here in the country. They usually last only a week, or so, on their own.

A neighbor moved away last year, and left three pit bulls behind. I just learned she was prosecuted for abandoning them, and spent 30 days in jail.

We've been attacked twice while on our walks, always by stray pit bulls.
