Mucking Around

This morning I dug into the compost pile, and pulled out what had decomposed, then worked it into the garden bed. Hard, dirty work. Lots of little crickets, pill bugs and even an ant nest in the compost pile.
The quality and quantity of compost was better than before, so I'm on the right track in making it. Very little is recognizable, except eggshells. Mixed into the soil, the compost will break down further. Soon, I will transplant tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant into those garden beds.
