Apr. 19th, 2013 09:05 pmI found and planted a Santa Rosa plum tree today, which is exactly the variety that cross-pollinates with the Elephant Heart plum I put in last week.
The weather is warming up, and it would have been best to plant both trees a month earlier, but hey, what can I say?
I have six little eggplant seedlings now popping out of the soil. Those are late as well, but it took my best effort to get them at all.
I'm watching the broccoli heads, and they'll soon be ready to harvest, once they loosen up. You don't want them to actually flower.
The red onions have nice tight "onion dome" flower tops that will open soon.
I replaced the carbon filters in the reverse osmosis machine that I use for drinking water. Actually the process is pretty involved, it's taking everything apart and cleaning it as well. I went an extra step and actually re-installed it in a different position under the sink, so the tank fits better. I had all my arcane tools out, and it took hours to do.
