Secret Justice Department Meeting About Press Freedom

The Attorney General is flailing around Washington, after many have concluded that he committed perjury during Congressional testimony about wiretaps of the press.

He called a meeting with reporters, but wanted nothing to be reported, everything said was off the record. One of the few news organizations that went was the Washington Post.

Today, The Washington Post published sort of a story about the Justice Department's commitment to press freedom, but carefully writing only what the Justice Department has allowed them to say. Have they gone insane?

I Guess It's Good.

Yesterday afternoon, we happened upon a large gopher snake stretched right across the path. Again, Halo seemed totally oblivious to it. He took a dump within two feet of it, while the snake lay motionless, in plain sight, flicking it's tongue. Pogi had run by it a moment earlier, hunting his squirrels, also without any overt reaction. I find it strange, because the dogs usually seem very perceptive. I googled the subject, and there seems to be plenty of people with dogs that bother snakes; people wanting to teach their dogs to ignore and avoid snakes.
