Saturday Update
Oct. 5th, 2013 09:24 amI'm using up all my scrap lumber building this shed, which is good, because in the summer I'm afraid the pile of lumber could attract snakes. I have the perfect piece of 1 X 6, from a warehouse bench, that today I'll turn into the all-important door header.
I don't just hoard wood, this computer monitor is going wanky, but I have an extra one that can replace it.
Master Chef, one of the TV shows that I watch, now has kids competing, and their level of cooking sophistication is remarkable. I like to cook, but the 10 year-olds on this show have me skunked.
I do try, and this morning I'll start on a pasta sauce. I'll peel some garden tomatoes and add garlic and oregano. Later tonight I'll combine fresh eggplant, onions and pork sausage. My cooking is simple, but I use my own garden ingredients, in this case, everything but the meat.
