I'm still plugging away at the shed, a few hours at a time. I'm putting up the siding, and getting to the complex pieces that have to be cut precisely to match the roof slope. I bought a new blade for the circular saw which really makes precision cutting easier. I didn't realize how crappy the old blade was.

I went to the local county hazardous waste depot because I wanted some free paint for the shed, but the re-use area was a mad house. I suspect there are regulars quickly snatching up anything of value to re-sell on Craigslist. No matter, I found some Thompson's water seal in my own hoard at home, and I'll spray that on siding once I'm done. It should be as good as paint, and the siding has a nice exterior anyway, so the clear Waterseal will be a plus.

The dogs really love our new evening walking route, They get to run off leash in a ten-acre field. Pogi's the hunter, and goes nuts chasing squirrels and digging out burrows. He's pretty good about breaking off when we have to keep moving, but I have to call him to make him come. Halo doesn't care to hunt, and usually stays with me, but he gets a little jealous of the attention Pogi gets when I'm calling to him. What Halo will do is go a little ways off in the wrong direction, so I'll have to call him, too. Halo immediately rushes back, like the perfect dog that he is. If I had the time, I could teach Halo a million tricks. He's just dying to learn complex routines, and loved obedience training.
