Dogs And Gardening
Jan. 6th, 2014 07:29 pmI'm picking a second round of fresh lemons and making marmalade and salted lemons. I saved these lemons by covering the tree during the deep freeze, and now they're completely ripe. I see blasted lemons on other people's trees, people who didn't make the effort.
Pogi is running off leash again during the afternoon walk. He's slowly learning how to act, and more or less stays under control, and doesn't run off on his own. It's really something to see him racing across a field at full speed, and now, before he gets too far away I can call him back.
Halo is such a good dog that he's usually off leash. I'm making a point of praising him when we're walking, and not spending my sole focus on the dog that misbehaves.
I finished loading the newer laptop with memory. It was fairly complex as the memory slot is beneath the keyboard, and you have to take apart the laptop to get access. I could fix the video (again) on my previous laptop, but it might not make economic sense to even buy parts. It works now only with an external monitor, but would still make a good Linux platform.
We're having warm, dry weather, which could mean drought, but it's possible the next few month will be wet. The birds are all thirsty, and love if I make puddles while I'm watering.
