Garden Update
Mar. 13th, 2014 04:24 pmAll the onions and broccoli have been transplanted to the garden, and I'm picking the first snow peas of the season. They're so good that I'm eating them immediately, as I pick them. I'm going to plant butternut squash and bush beans soon. I used some rooting compound earlier to propagate ornamental plants, and almost all of the cuttings took. I have a couple of new golden leaf bushes started, three big pots of lavender, and a few marigold plants and even a little almond seedling. My final avocado tree may be dead, but I'll still wait and hope for the best.
I need to carefully remove and replace a snapped-off engine bolt on the rototiller and troubleshoot the electric grass mower. I think the mower may need carbon brushes (the motor cuts on and off) but I'll have to take it apart an see. One gardening job to do soon will be preparing the south bed so I can put in Roma tomatoes when it's warmer.
