Inorganic Farming
Aug. 23rd, 2014 10:43 amI broke down and dusted the yellow squash with Sevin Dust, after trying neem oil a few times. It's tough to grow a crop that's grown commercially nearby, because there's a massive reservoir of pests floating around. This will be the last time I plant yellow squash, but I do hope to get a reasonable yield to justify all my work. One year, it got so bad that I just tore out the planting rather than fighting the pests.
Pogi got overwhelmed by a long line of horses that came by the house. He got too excited, and didn't jump the fence, but started biting Halo. I stopped him, and no one got hurt, but Halo saw that I punished Pogi, and violence is forbidden.
The battery in my android tablet is worn out, and now doesn't hold much of a charge. It still works fine, it just has to be connected a lot to the charger. It's over 1-1/2 years old, and well used (mostly as an eBook reader).
