Pogi was spooked by distant thunder and bailed out halfway into the evening walk. We took him home, put him in the house, and then went back out and finished the walk. Pogi hung out in the yard with us afterward, but sometimes got on the porch to feel safe.
The last run in with a pit bull shook him up, as well. He's learned he can stay in the yard, behind the fence when a scary dog is about. We don't want him to, and he doesn't need to jump the fence and fight the bad dogs.
We had a good rain on Wednesday, and unexpected showers tonight. I just picked up a new pair of rubber boots for walking the dogs during the wet. I'm the only person out in the boonies when it's muddy, and the secret is high rubber boots, and being careful not to slip on wet ground.
