Halo's using the dog door, and is now proficient pushing though the front door if I leave it ajar. He's always had issues with doors, because in an earlier life, he was rigidly trained NEVER to come indoors. It's taken him years to overcome that training.

The hard cider is now in the secondary fermenter, and about every minute a bubble of CO2 will escape the airlock. I'm going to cook some steaks outside tomorrow night, and sample this new cider.

The cider is quite dry, so it has fermented completely. An eight-ounce glass gave me a little buzz. I just roasted beef and pork steaks over a wood fire, and that turned out well. Wood is faster than charcoal, so you must be quick to put the meat down when the flames have subsided. By the time I finished cooking, the coals had burnt away. It was a good Paleolithic meal; fire-roasted beef steaks and raw cider.
