Technical Update

The media computer quit booting, so I'm now in the process of creating a Windows 8.1 recovery drive. I've made a few abortive attempts, and next, need to buy a higher capacity usb thumb drive to load the program onto. At first, I had to download an entire Windows 8.1 ISO image to get one necessary file, and now it turns out that the completed program will require 4 gigs of space.
