Plum Pollination Update

Both plums trees are blossoming now. I have two different varieties of Japanese plum, which are good at cross-pollinating each other. Marigolds planted nearby are swarming with honeybees, so I'm probably getting the strongest pollination possible. The honeybees seem to prefer the marigolds, but I'm seeing proto-bees and flies and such, on the plum blossoms. We'll soon see how much fruit sets.

Technical Update: Just Like The Old Days!

My media pc stopped booting, and I've been working towards getting it back up.

I managed to create a Windows 8.1 usb recovery drive, then get it to boot, and the diagnostic was that my main drive was badly corrupted. The utility fixed the drive, but I suppose because the files were so badly damaged the only option I had was to reload Windows.

One interesting part was that I had to go to the command line level and actually type in old DOS commands (variations of chkdsk). Just like the old days!
