Surviving A Baboon Encounter

Dream about being in the grasslands with Halo, and noticing a distant troop of large baboons angling towards us. I managed to get Halo close with me, and we both made it to high ground as the first of them arrived. I had started gathering big rocks to throw down at them, when I woke.

In real life it's pit bulls that are the danger. We've been attacked seven times, so far, sometimes by two or three together. I've been toying with the idea of getting a concealed carry permit, which suddenly are quite easy to get in California.

A big, grey pit bull came out of a broken fence and charged us this morning. I had the pepper spray ready, but I stood my ground, and warned it, and it stopped at the last moment. Very nerve-wracking.
