So much bullshit. I don't think current science fiction is worth much passion of any sort. So much of it is goofy magical fantasy. I've read only about two books in the last year that are worthy of mention.
The Martian by Andy Weir, and Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.
So much of the rest is boring, badly written and self-indulgent, with heavy emphasis on series that go on forever. The great writers of the past wrote stories contained by one novel. Why is it that the current crop of artistes need to continue on and on, over the span of many books? Oh, right.....for the money.
