Little Known Facts
May. 29th, 2015 09:34 pmI ate my first plum today. It was purple, but not quite ripe. The Santa Rosa tree ripens first, and has maybe 36 plums. The Elephant Heart will bear a few months from now, with less than 12 plums. I used a different pruning technique on the trees, and that probably accounts for less fruit on one.
I sharpened my machete with a file, and tomorrow morning I 'll take it on our walk, and chop weeds along our path through the boondocks.
A neighbor with a bunch of little chihuahuas wants to see my little girl dog tomorrow morning, with an eye towards acquisition. Halo would be glad, Pogi not so much.

I gave her away this morning, and I think she'll be happy in her new home, including other little dogs, and a teenaged girl that seems to have claimed her. I will miss her a little, and have to consciously steel myself against picking up any more stray dogs.
