Hot Hot

The first really hot day, 105 F, and the weather site is posting RealFeel temperatures (not sure what they are and if I trust them) of 112F. Halo dug a big burrow under a bush, but actually both dogs came inside during the peak heat. Halo has got some mad instincts. I don't know if many dogs dig cooling burrows hidden underneath bushes. I should post a picture of his hidey-hole.

I bought some gopher traps and placed them tonight. They are something like mouse traps. I need to get a handle on the gophers, as Pogi is really tearing up the lawn hunting them.

I also picked the final Santa Rosa plums. The Elephant heart plums ripen next.
