Mechanical Update
Jul. 3rd, 2015 01:32 pmThose of you that follow my journal closely will remember that I broke my cheap electric string trimmer last week. I'm not sure that it's possible or worthwhile fixing that.
What I am fixing is my Shindaiwa t270 gas powered trimmer. I started it today, and used it a bit, but I want is to perhaps adjust or replace the throttle cable, so it operates properly.
I have to go out when I'm in a good frame of mind, maybe this afternoon, and troubleshoot it. Nothing is worse than ordering replacement parts before you clearly understand what's wrong.
Editors note: It's in the upper 90's this afternoon, and our hero doesn't want to work outside. You would think that he's tough enough to soldier on, but modern decadence has apparently made him soft.

Cable tension adjusted this morning, and I used it to clear weeds until out of fuel. It's so powerful, it throws debris against my legs, and the electric could never do that.
